The Village Society began collecting reminiscences of the village some years ago.  Originally Betty Childs recorded a number of conversations with elderly residents, and more recently Sheila Steer has interviewed residents about their memories.

A few are listed on the left out of the thirty or so items which will be added over the next few months.  They are also to be published as a series in Rayne In Focus, where they may be abridged.

These are the recollections of the people involved, and may have been recorded some time ago.  So as a result there may be minor discrepancies regarding the same events.  If you remember things differently, please let me know - Webmaster.
